InsureFiHub.com — published under the IFH Canada brand (InsureFi Hub) — was created to give Canadians free, straightforward calculators for the insurance, mortgage, and personal finance decisions that come with a dollar sign attached, without requiring you to hand over your contact information first.

Who’s behind this site

InsureFiHub.com is written and maintained by Rock Man, the founder of IFH Canada. The site grew out of ordinary, personal experience with these decisions — comparing car and home insurance renewals, working through a mortgage, and planning around RRSP and TFSA contribution room — and a frustration with how hard it is to get a straight, numbers-first answer without talking to a salesperson first.

Rather than rely on personal opinion alone, every calculator on this site is built from — and periodically cross-checked against — official public sources: the Canada Revenue Agency, CMHC, the Bank of Canada, and provincial land transfer tax schedules. How our calculators work

Every calculator on this site is built from publicly available data — CRA tax brackets, CMHC’s insurance premium schedule, Bank of Canada mortgage stress test rules, and provincial land transfer tax rates — and is reviewed periodically as these figures change each year. Insurance premium estimators use industry-average data rather than real insurer quotes; see each tool’s own note for its specific sources.
